Event description: 

Professor of Hebrew Bible and Congregational Studies Gregory Mobley will be leading a monthly Bible study for Asylum Hill Congregational Church in Hartford, CT, at 7:00pm on the second Wednesday of the month on October 13, November 10, January 12, February 9, March 9, and May 11 (no meetings in December or April) .

Depending on COVID protocols, many - if not all - of these monthly sessions will be held online.

In keeping with AHCC’s theme for the year, “Behold, I Am Making All Things New,” join [Professor Gregory Mobley] for a six-session Bible study that focuses on texts which herald new chapters of God’s covenant with Israel.

October 13: A New Channel of God’s Blessing: The Call to Abram and Sarai (Genesis 12)
November 10: A New Name for God: The Revelation to Moses on Mt. Horeb (Exodus 3)
January 12: A New Experience of God: Elijah and the Still, Small Voice (1 Kings 19)
February 9: A New Aspect of God: The Emergence of Lady Wisdom (Proverbs 8)
March 9: A New Restoration: Jeremiah’s Scroll of Consolation (Jeremiah 31)
May 11: A New Horizon for Salvation: Daniel and the First Glimpse of Heaven (Daniel 12)
