Today, we celebrate the senior sermon of Ariana Hones, a third-year M.Div. student in the Andover Newton Seminary diploma program from Ripon, Wisconsin.
Rev. JaQuan K. Beachem, Associate Dean for Community Development & Spiritual Formation, shared that Ariana’s message “invited us to digest the bewildering passage of Isaiah’s Peaceable Kingdom where ‘the wolf shall live with the land…the cow and the bear shall graze!’”
“In her own empowering way, Ariana’s sermon reminds us that ‘we are animals, too, flesh and bone, and muscle and sinew.’ Alongside the Divine, may we testify care with Ariana, of creation, in our words, in our bodies, and in our actions, to the manifestation of this kingdom here on Earth!”
