On May 22, 2021 Andover Newton Seminary at Yale Divinity School hosted a virtual commencement service to celebrate our 2020 and 2021 graduates. Class of 2020 graduate, Mahogany S. Thomas who was the inaugural recipient of Andover Newton’s Martin B. Copenhaver Prize for preaching and is now Executive Minister of Peoples Congregational United Church of Christ (UCC) in Washington, D.C. delivered the commencement sermon. Mark Miller, Lecturer in Sacred Music at Yale Divinity School and member of the Andover Newton teaching team, led music. Former Andover Newton trustee John Y. Campbell, Morton L. and Carole S. Olshan Professor of Economics at Harvard University and lay leader at Hancock Church United Church of Christ in Lexington, Massachusetts delivered the commencement address.
