Please note: If you are unable to attend, the service will be streaming online here.
Andover Newton Seminary at Yale Divinity School will host the installation of Rev. Dr. Sarah Birmingham Drummond as Andover Newton Seminary’s founding dean.
The event will take place in Marquand Chapel at Yale Divinity School at 2:00pm on September 21, 2019.
During the service, a free will offering will be taken. All dollars given will be added to the Sarah Birmingham Drummond Scholarship Fund. Learn more about this scholarship in Sarah’s honor here or give to it directly here.
A reception will follow the installation. There will be a silent auction during the reception that will benefit students who will be on the border-crossing immersion to Kenya. More about the silent auction, along with a list of items, can be found on the auction event site.
All professors, administrators, and ordained clergy who wish to robe and process should register at the following link so that Andover Newton Seminary staff can hold reserved seating for participants. Register now. Please arrive by 1:30pm and gather in the Old Commuter Lounge - there will be student greeters available to give you directions once you arrive on campus.
Other RSVP’s are not required. Join us for this milestone moment.
At the end of this celebratory day, the festivities continue with a Border Crossing Ball. More on this event and the student trip that it will benefit is available on the event page.
