Details regarding Andover Newton’s 2022 Graduation Celebration

Our graduation speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Gregory G. Groover, Sr., Senior Minister of the Historic Charles Street AME Church in Boston. Dr. Groover is a current ANS trustee, spouse of an alum, and a powerful and pastoral preacher. The Andover Newton graduation celebration will take place Saturday, May 21 at 11:30 a.m. in Marquand Chapel, with a luncheon to follow in the Old Common Room and adjacent courtyard.  Guests are welcome. 

By virtue of his receiving ANS’s preaching prize last year, our graduation preacher will be the Rev. JaQuan K. Beachem (YDS MDiv and ANS diploma recipient ‘21).

Music will be led by Mark Miller, member of the Andover Newton teaching team and Lecturer in Sacred Music at the Institute for Sacred Music.

Graduates, please note: Please plan to arrive no later than 11:15 to gather outside the ANS Cottage for procession. Rather than wearing robes, graduates are asked to attire themselves, if possible, in ANS’s purple and blue. Hair color changes to that effect especially appreciated.
