Seminary Snow Sunday
Seminary Snow Sunday is a worship service designed to be downloaded by your church and broadcast during inclement weather as an alternative to cancelling worship. What started as an online opportunity to churches at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic has become an annual offering, which we hope will not only benefit pastors and congregational communities but also give churches the chance to meet some future faith leaders.
This special downloadable and streamable service featuring Andover Newton staff and current students contains a sermon, greetings from our Deans, Children’s Sermon, communion (optional), scripture, readings, congregational singing, and more! Whether you utilize this resource on an unexpected snowy day or to supplement your regular worship calendar, we hope that it can be a blessing to your community.
All churches who have requested access to the link will receive an email containing a downloadable folder with the services (one with communion, one without), along with bulletins in PDF format. Your church can then use the download as a livestream from your church Zoom, Youtube, or Facebook account on any Sunday you wish. Your community can then enjoy a synchronous worship experience, despite the weather! This resource is license free and all items are in the Public Domain.
